We are here!!!!
We pulled into Jaco last night around 11 pm. We had a very uneventful trip once we got
started. We had a five hour layover in
Atlanta so the fact that our flight from XNA got delayed for almost an hour was
no problem. When we finally arrived at our condo we were very, very pleasantly
surprised.
Our condo is very modern with a microwave, dishwasher, all utensils, washer and dryer, AC and fans in all of the rooms, and a very nice outdoor dining area. |
The two bathrooms both have nice glass tile showers.
We got to bed about 1:00 am but took off early this morning
to get breakfast and do some shopping.
(We have discovered the one drawback to our condo is the distance we
have to walk to town. Although it is all
on level streets it is still about five blocks—much shorter by way of the
beach.)
As we walked to town we saw beautiful flowers.
...and a lot of native crafts. |
The walk through town was quite long. Jaco is much larger than Tamarindo. As we started home we decided it was going to
be too much to walk all the way home with our arms full of groceries---so, we
bought two bicycles.
Shopping was interesting...we saw resemblances to Walmart |
Gail on her new bike and all of the groceries we thought our baskets could hold.
When we got back to the condo we went to the pool. They have four different pools and the
biggest one is just outside our condo building.
A second one is for children and two more are by the ocean front.
It was a little strange seeing a Christmas tree next to the pool.
It sprinkled a little today but it felt good. The temperature was 72 when we got up and got up to 91 this afternoon. Our first sunset was not that great—too many
clouds.
We went out to dinner tonight and had great sea food. Now a little TV. We get many channels, but only get the major channels—ABC, NBC,
CBS, and CNBC in English.
Gonna have a glass of wine and hit the hay!
