Fish Fry and Sunset

Three guys in our condo complex, Ray, Archie, and Jim, went  fishing last week.  They caught a MahiMahi that weighed about 45 pounds after they cleaned it, along with about 20 more pounds of red snapper and grouper.  (They said it cost them $150 each to rent the boat for the day plus bait and tipping the captain.)
Fishermen Extraordinaire

Yesterday was Jim's 89th birthday and they decided to have a fish fry to celebrate.  We were lucky enough to be invited.

Ray is a Cajun (coonass as he he says in a VERY strong accent) from Louisiana who has been frying fish all his life.  Ray used the BBQ grill and got a pot of cooking oil good and hot.  He rolled the fish in seasoned corn meal and dropped it in the pot.

We ate fish along with side dishes that every one contributed.

It was some of the best fish I have ever had.
After the meal we walked to the beach.  The clouds in the sky assured us that the sunset was going to be a great one.
I took 26 pictures while we sat on the beach and watched as the sun began to lower to the horizon, then disappear, and finally provide a magnificent afterglow.  Here are a few of those pictures---
